ANNOUNCEMENT: We are in our new facility in New Market. However, there's some work to do before we can have Fellowship meetings! We will notify everyone when regular meetings start. Until then, we will continue our informal meetings. Lynn and Christa are both around and available to members. If you are interested in participating in our Fellowship, call or email anytime. Welcome!
Join us for our first POTLUCK this Tuesday - August 3rd. 5:00-8ish
Our religious, educational, and charitable purposes are:
1) To promote the free and responsible search for personal truth and meaning.
2) To promote the belief in the inherent worth and dignity of every human being.
3) To form a spiritual organization that embraces diversity of thought and belief while providing for its membership a supportive and stimulating community.
4) To promote a democratically self-governed education environment within which children are free to explore life in all its complexity.
Since 2007, the primary educational program of the FreedomHill Fellowship has been the FreedomHill Cooperative. We are currently moving towards having the program be an educational resource or a school rather than a cooperative. When we have cleared a variety of hurdles, we will register FreedomHill a church-exempt school operated by the FreedomHill Fellowship. The Co-op and future program are non-denominational; families of all faiths are welcome to participate. Since faith and religeon are of such importance in our society, there have been (and will be) many discussions about these important topics. The content of those discussions is guided by the school members, not by the purposes or mission of the Fellowship. For our youth, familes, and the community, the Fellowship will offer a speaker's series, weekly fellowship meetings (weekday evenings) and youth fellowship meetings.
